Wine Country Motor Lodge is situated In Havelock North, just 5 minutes from Hastings city and 15 minutes from Napier . Regular domestic flights connect Napier with Auckland or Wellington. Shuttle buses and taxis are easily arranged for a moderate charge.

It is an easy two and a half hour drive from Rotorua.

Within Hawke's Bay there is an abundance of activities such as the Art Deco Walk, the Gannet Colony at Cape Kidnappers and many fine wineries. The Bay offers excellent fly-fishing, hunting and trekking. Within a short drive of the Lodge there are five challenging golf courses.
